Academician’s Perception towards Institutional Culture- Empirical Study of Private Engineering Colleges

چکیده

This paper aims to assess the academicians’ perception towards their institutional culture. The data were collected from 334 academicians of private engineering institutions. Research instrument for measuring the organizational Culture was developed from an extensive literature review. The present research work is concentrating on identifying the role of demographic variables in perceiving the organizational culture. The study considered work environment and organizational factors as dimensions of institutional culture. The results of the work explored the common perceptions of all academicians irrespective of their different demographic profile. Designation alone expressed its influence on academician’s perception towards organizational factors of culture. Towards work environment the perceptions are same for all respondents irrespective of their demographic profile.
